Foodhub - Recipes WordPress Theme


Foodhub is a professional Food Recipe Listings WordPress theme. Anyone can start a recipe business with this theme, it offers a simple framework for creating and sharing recipes for you and your users.

Theme Installation WordPress

The first option on how to install this Theme would be to directly upload the Foodhub.zip file via WordPress Theme Uploader.

Theme Installation via FTP

The second option on how to install our Theme would be the upload via FTP manager. It really doesn't matter which of the two ways you choose, just choose the one you feel more comfortable with.

Install & Setup Plugins

So at this stage you have probably noticed a warning, asking you to install recommended plugins. This is needed to get the Theme Panel plugin and a few other plugins for the theme to work perfectly. Installing that is very simple, you just need to click Begin installing plugins and you will be redirected to the plugin installation page where you can install any Plugin you want or you need.

Import Demo Data - One-Click-Install

This theme comes with an amazing built-in feature: One-Click-Install -> Possibility to import demo data of the theme with one click only, and make your site look 1:1 with our demo.

Importing Revolution Slider Demo

Demo-sliders are located into the downloaded package from themeforest in /sampledata/Dummy_Revolution_Sliders/

(*) - The sliders are automatically imported when the Demo Importer is fired. After completing the import the site will contain all demo data + revolution sliders

Theme Options Panel

If you want to change the general Options of the Theme, go to your WordPress Admin Dashboard Area to Foodhub Theme Panel. Here you have a tabbed Navigation where you can change a lot of Options of your new Theme:

My Account

How to set up the My Account manually:

Step 1: Make sure to install the WooCommerce Plugin.

Step 2: Set up a page to the My Account dropdown.

Step 3: Now go on Pages -> My Account -> and open the page for edit. You should see this shortcode (Added by the WooCommerce plugin) on the editor.

Step 3: Replace the shortcode with this content:.

Then you should have this on your editor box:

Final Step: Now you should see the My Account page fullwidth (as on our demo).

How to allow registration on your website:

Step 1: Make sure you have the WooCommerce Plugin activated.

Step 2: Go to your admin dashboard > Settings tab > General and enable the option that anyone can register .

Step 3: Check the WooCommerce tab from the dashboard > Settings > Accounts & Privacy and disable or enable the options only to be exactly like the ones bellow. .

Feature: MT Recipes

I. Create a new Recipe: The tab on the admin dashboard following MT Recipes -> Add New.


II. About the General Custom Options : Scroll down to the General Custom Options in the edit the recipe page.

  • 1. General presentation options - used for the first look of the recipe;
  • 2. Recipe Ingredients - Set a list of ingredients;
  • 3. Recipe Instructions / Directions - Set the necessary steps to be taken to cook the recipe;
  • 4. Excerpt - Set a small description about the recipe;
  • 5. Discussion - Set discussion/comments settings;
  • 6. Author - Set the author of the recipe;

  • III. Custom category and sorting options : On the sidebar of the edit recipe page.

  • 1. Cuisine type
  • 2. Food category
  • 3. Difficulty
  • 4. Cooking Method
  • 5. Yields

  • 7. Featured Images
  • IV. Theme Panel Options : Check the MT Recipes Theme Panel

  • 1. Recipe Tabs Icons - change the icons for the recipe tabs
  • 2. Related Recipes - Displayed on the single recipe page, you decide what to show or not with these options;

  • Feature: MT Reviews

    I. Create a new Review: The tab on the admin dashboard following MT Reviews -> Add New.


    II. About the General Custom Options : Scroll down to the General Custom Options in the edit the review page.

  • 1. Choose listing - chose the recipe to be reviewed;
  • 2. Name - name of the author of the review;
  • 3. Email - Email of the author of the review;
  • 4. Website - website of the author of the review;
  • 5. Cost - 1 to 5 stars rating of the cost;
  • 6. Time - 1 to 5 stars rating of the time;
  • 7. Difficulty - 1 to 5 stars rating of the difficulty;
  • 8. Overall Review - 1 to 5 stars rating of the recipe overall;

  • Feature: Page Preloader

    Option Type: Theme Panel Option - To access this option and add new custom css to your website go to Theme Options Panel(General Settings Tab)
